Triund trek is a short and an easy trek to Himalayas, which makes it an ideal weekend trip for beginners. The trek starts from Dharamshala. The town of Dharamshala provides a grand opportunity to experience the vibrant Tibetan culture.The trek takes you to the monasteries, prayer flags and you get a glimpse of Buddhism. Triund is at an altitude of 2875m offers fascinating views of Dhauladhar Valley on one side and Kangra valley on the other side. Triund is a large land of green pastures and known as the crown gem of Dharamshala. The trail passes through the Bhagsu waterfall, many small gushing streams, and dense forests of pine, oak, deodar.The Triund Trek provides many breathtaking views of floating clouds, pristine mountains, which makes it one of the best camping places in India. Such camping trips makes all the time and effort spent worth it.
Start your exotic tour to Dahramsala by boarding a Volvo bus to Dharamsala from Majnu ka Tilla in evening around 7 pm. Overnight journey in Volvo.
Upon arrival in Dharamsala, cab will pick you up and transfer you to a guest house on sharing basis in Dharamsala. Today you are free to explore the nearby places like Mcleod gang market, Dalai lama Monastery and enjoy your dinner at one of the cafes here
After breakfast we meet up at the start point which is Bhagsu nag Taxi stand. From here we start our trek to Triund. We cross the local Tibetan Market, then the ancient temple name Bhagsu nag temple to reach the famous waterfall. It takes roughly 20 to 25 mins to reach the waterfall where we stop to click some pics and one can also enjoy some hot breakfast like eggs and bread or hot spicy Maggie with cup of tea. Then we cross the waterfall and start our steep climb for our campsite. The guide will keep you entertained by telling stories about the place to ensure that you enjoy the walk and not get bored. On reaching the campsite you can leave your bags off and feel more relaxed and trek further to Triund to get panoramic views of Shivalik Hills and plains of Kangra Valley. View the most amazing sunset click some great pics and later trek back to Leta camps. Enjoy dinner near the bonfire with some soothing music. Spend time under the star studded night while enjoying the warmth of bonfire. Overnight stay at camps.
Get up early to view the stunning sunrise..after having your breakfast at campsite you trek back to Mcleod ganj and you have a free afternoon to explore the market and later in evening board your volvo bus back to Delhi.

Reporting time is 30 mins before the bus departure from Delhi.
Bus ticket, Light bag pack minimal clothes, small blanket, medical kit, torch light and energy bars.

Yes it can be done in winters with proper sturdy boots and proper gear like dry fit clothes, wind proof jacket, trek poles etc.
Yes, camping is closed on Triund top from last year and half and if we are going thru Galu temple make sure to cross the check post before 10:30 am.
No we don’t need any prior permission and there is no entry fee. But your id card and backpack is checked at the check post of Galu temple.
Forest Guest house: Made by Britishers Bhagsu waterfall and Shiva café: One of the must see places during the trek. You can click some nice selfie and enjoy some delicious food at the café. Bhagsu temple and swimming pool: Not to miss putting your feet in the holy water of Bhagsunag. The source of water is Nag dal which is pious and clean. Places you can trek or view from here are Moon Peak , Kunal Pathri temple, Metro Horn, Camel peak and the beautiful First range if Himalayas that start from Dalhousie and ends at Kullu.
