However,one needs to learn the balancing act and get used to the movements of camel, while one is on a camel ride.
One can explore the charming villages of Nubra on camel back. Nubra Valley Highly contrastive, the landscape would immediately change from fertile green apricot fields to a dry Saharan Desert-like terrain with snow-capped peaks in the distance.
In Nubra one can find a small population of the shaggy double-humped Bactrian camels, which in the old days were used as pack animals on the Central Asian trade route. During the past 50 years, they have been bred for transport purposes in Nubra. Today visitors to Nubra can use these animals for going on camel safaris. The main population centers are Deskit and Hunder.
Camel Safari provides a commanding view of the valleys, villages and Buddhist Gompas. Tourists can inspect the Panamic village- the last leg of Camel Safari and visit hot springs locally reputed to have therapeutic qualities.
On arrival at Leh airport our local representative will meet you and asset you and Transfer to hotel when on arrival at hotel welcome tea & coffee will be served .mean while late afternoon, you will visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Namgyal Shemo Gompa and then stroll through Leh Bazaar.Overnight in hotel at Leh.
On this day you will go a sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries Such as Hemis Monastery, shay palace, Thiksey Monastery Overnight at Hotel.
Shey Palace is 18km situated on a hillock was built in 1645 as a summer residence for the kings of Ladakh. It is the oldest palace in Ladakh. Thiksey Monastery is 25km from leh and it was built 600 years ago, consists of 12 levels ascending a hillside, 10 temples and a large Buddha statue.Hemis Monastery, 48 km southeast of Leh, was established at the instance of King Singe Namgyal, in 1672 AD. It is the biggest‘Monastery of Ladakh This monastery houses a beautiful museum with many interesting relics and ancient artifacts.
In the morning after breakfast, drive towards Nubra valley via Khardung La(18300 feet) the highest motor head road in the world. Upon arrival at Nubra valley, we will stay at our tents. After a short relaxation we will visit the Deskit And Hunder Monastery Overnight at Sand dune leisure camps.
After breakfast at our camps, we will go for the world famous camel safari. It is very incredible to see the camel in this part of the world.
